Major ResponsibilitiesDr. Brown is responsible for the research programs of some 130 agricultural and natural resource faculty in seven academic departments. In addition, he oversees the management of our ten research facilities in strategic locations across the state. He represents UT AgResearch in the Institute of Agriculture, and coordinates with our partner entities -- the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, UT Extension, and the College of Veterinary Medicine.EducationPh.D., Animal Science, University of Nebraska, 1983M.S., Animal Science, University of Tennessee, 1979 B.S., Animal Science, University of Florida, 1977 Summary of ExperienceDr. Brown has served as Assistant Dean and Assistant Director of the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station, along with Program Director of the Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture Research Program and Co-Director of the Center for Tropical Agriculture at the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. Major ResponsibilitiesDr. Klindt provides leadership and guidance to ensure that UT AgResearch is focused on high-priority issues that significantly impact Tennessee's agricultural economy. He joined the UT Experiment Station in 1974 as an assistant professor of agricultural economics, becoming a full professor in 1981.
