2017 Economic Contributions of Agriculture and Forestry in Tennessee

In 2017, the agri-forestry industrial complex directly and indirectly contributed $81.0 billion to the Tennessee economy accounting for multiplier effects, which was 11.8 percent of the economic activity conducted in the state. The industry employed close to an estimated 342,000 individuals, or 8.6 percent of the total number of workers.
